All wireless systems/infrastructures and devices (including wireless routers, laptops, I Pads, cell phones, etc.) emit non-ionizing radio frequency radiation (RF.)

The research is now showing clear evidence of biological physical and neuropsychiatric harms from ongoing exposures to wireless RF (including 5G.) Children, the elderly, and the immune compromised are most vulnerable to the negative effects of RF. All forms of biological life are affected by RF as is our environment (See below for bio -effect studies.)

Past theory held that only radiation in the ionizing portion of the electromagnetic spectrum was biologically harmful. Analysis of harm was then predicated on a thermal (heating) principle. Now, thousands of peer reviewed scientific studies have demonstrated clear and significant biological harms from regular exposure to non-ionizing wireless radiation.

Based on this research, hundreds of the world’s leading independent RF scientists and medical experts, who have researched and studied RF for decades, have formally requested a moratorium on the roll out of 5G technology until it is proven safe. In addition, they have  appealed to the United Nations, its member nations, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to update RF exposure safety limits, and to change the classification of RF from its current status as a class 2B carcinogen (possible human carcinogen), to class 2A carcinogen or higher (probable or known human carcinogen.)
In response, in 2019, The International Agency For Research On Cancer (IARC), a WHO advisory board composed of 29 scientists from 18 countries, released new recommendations to reassess the cancer risks of non-ionizing RF and classified the reassessment as “high priority.”
An additional concern being raised by the scientific experts about RF safety, is the FCC’s commissioners not having the professional medical/scientific backgrounds and the knowledge needed to make the public health and safety decisions that they are charged with, including safe RF human exposure levels. Scientists along with the Harvard Center Of Ethics have also raised concerns about conflicts of interest. The current composition of the FCC commissioners is thus: 4/5 are attorneys, 2/5 worked as attorneys for the telecommunications industry prior to becoming FCC commissioners, and 1/5 is a former legislative aid/staff member who served on committees that worked with the telecommunications industry.
There are two current lawsuits against the FCC for its failure to update RF exposure safety standards. The safety standards are: 26 years old, widely regarded as obsolete, unsafe, too high (over 100 times higher than many countries), and unresponsive to the growing body of research which shows clear biological harms from non ionizing RF.
Federal legislators, Senators Richard Blumenthal and James Gaughran, and Representatives Anna Esho, Thomas Suozzi, Daniel Lipinsky, Andy Kim, and Peter DeFazio have all formally initiated an inquiry regarding the safety of 5G technology and have requested documentation of its safety. To date, there are no safety studies demonstrating the safety of 5G technology.
Countries and cities around the world, including Switzerland, Brussels, Italy, Greece, UK, Slovenia, Nigeria, New Guinea, have completely halted or postponed the roll out of 5G until its safety has been firmly established. States/cities in the U.S including Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Louisiana, Oregon, New York, and California are taking action to limit and have more control of the 5G rollout. Furthermore, 23 municipalities from around the U.S are currently suing in the federal 9th District Court for the rights to regulate and control the rollout of 5G infrastructure in their local communities.
Leading tech and industry professionals including Frank Clegg, the former President of Microsoft Canada, have made strong appeals to policy makers and regulators worldwide, regarding the safety of 5G/wireless technologies. Mr. Clegg has requested that his industry, the telecommunications industry, be required by policy makers to do full safety testing on 5G/wireless and to begin developing and utilizing safer technological options, such as fiber.

Implications & Considerations

Physical Impacts of RF: Established Links Between Wireless Radio Frequency Radiation (RF) and Physical Health

Wireless radiation from our wireless tech is linked to: headaches, lowered immunity, fatigue, effects on cognition and long and short term memory issues, sleep problems, muscle and joint pain, nose bleeds, heart palpitations/arrhythmia/attacks/tightness in chest, dizziness/vertigo, tinnitus, blood pressure problems, balance problems, gastrointestinal problems, rashes/skin conditions/numbing, burning sensations skin/eyes, noise sensitivity, sensations of pressure in head/ears, micro ordination between eye and muscles, kidney/liver/thyroid problems, infertility, cancer, and permanent DNA damage.

In school and work environments, increased somatic symptoms and complaints have a direct link to employee/student/staff health and well-being which can significantly impact: time spent out of school/office/workplace, the ability to attend, and missed instructional/work time.

Research On Physical Biological Harms:

The US National Toxicology Program (NTP) recently released the final findings from its 14 year, $25 million dollar study on bio-effects of RF. The NTP study, along with another recently released study from the acclaimed Ramazzini Institute in Italy, found clear evidence (their highest classification) of the same kinds of rare heart, brain, and adrenal cancerous tumors and permanent DNA damage.

Neuropsychiatric Impacts of RF: Established Links Between
Wireless Radio Frequency Radiation (RF) and Student Neuropsychiatric Health:

Wireless radiation is linked to significant increases in a number of neuro psychiatric/behavioral issues such as: depression, anxiety, suicidal behavior, ADD/ADHD  autism/spectrum disorders and increased anger, emotional instability and behavioral changes. As we increase our reliance on wireless tech, and move to 5G and more RF in our environments, experts predict these behaviors/conditions will increase exponentially.

Increased mental health challenges can translate to increased drug use/abuse and suicides which are now 56% higher than they were just 10 years ago. Youth suicides have risen exponentially in direct correlation to the increases of wireless radiation in our homes, daily lives, and classrooms.

Articles On Neuropsychiatric Biological Harm:

Research On Neuropsychiatric Biological Harms:

“Symptoms of retarded memory, learning, cognition, attention, and behavioral problems have been reported in numerous studies and are similarly manifested in autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, as a result of EMF and RFR exposures where both epigenetic drivers and genetic (DNA) damage are likely contributors. Technology benefits can be realized by adopting wired devices for education to avoid health risk and promote academic achievement”

– Sage and Burgio

The researchers concluded that there was a direct correlation, in fact, an 80% higher tendency for children to have behavioral, emotional, and hyperactive behaviors after excessive pre- and post-natal cell phone exposure.

Accommodations For Electrosensitivity/Immunocompromised Illness:

Electrosensitivity, or Electrohypersenstivitvy (EHS) as it is sometimes called, currently affects 3- 13% of the world’s population and is expected to rise with our increasing RF exposures from expanding use of wireless devices and infrastructures. EHS is characterised by physical and neuropsychiatric symptoms and conditions (see above for common symptoms) that are the result of, or worsened by, exposures to RF/electromagnetic fields in daily settings. Treating and accomodationg EHS involves creating low/no RF/EMF environments in the home, school, public places etc., where technology can be safely accessed through wired computers/devices/systems. EHS can be genetic, brought on by an exposure incident, or by ongoing exposure to both non-ionizing and ionizing radiation.  EHS is a recognized medical condition and disability that requires accommodation through the ADA. Genetic testing for EHS is expected within the next 2-3 years. People with EHS often also have multiple chemical and food sensitivities and increased sensitivity to fluorescent lights and sound.

Many people currently have symptoms that relate to RF/EHS, such as ongoing unexplained  headaches, heart palpitations, focus/attention issues, tinnitus, or insomnia, but are unaware of the link between their condition and exposure to RF. As our levels of RF increase, and more educational information becomes available to the public and medical communities on RF symptomatology and correlations, it is expected that more cases of EHS will be identified, and thus, will require medical accommodations.

In addition, RF is also a known aggravant in a number of immunocompromised, neuropsychiatric, and neurological conditions, including diabetes and seizure disorders.

Schools, municipalities and workplaces  will need to be able to provide medical accommodations for individuals with EHS, immunocompromised status, and other illnesses affected by RF, so that these individuals have full access to their home, work and learning environments.

Schools/ Parents Taking Action On The Effects Of Wireless Radiation In Schools:

In response to growing concerns about the biological effects of RF, schools are further investigating the effects of RF and taking both precautionary/mitigating actions to reduce exposures. Parents are learning more about RF effects and are taking these considerations to their school administrators, school boards, PTA/PTO, and parent communities. Parents are requesting deeper inquiry into the safety of RF, as well as policy changes and medical accommodations for their children.

Legal Concerns For Municipalities/Schools:

Current legal concerns for municipalities/ schools center around their coverage for wireless harms. Most municipal/school district insurance policies do not include coverage for wireless harms. It should be further noted that major insurance companies, such as Lloyds Of London, will not insure wireless technology due to the potential public health harms associated with it. Both Verizon and T-Mobile included statements of these risks and harms in their 2019 filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Verizon Statement in part: “We are subject to a significant amount of litigation, which could require us to pay significant damages or settlements…In addition, our wireless business also faces personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits relating to alleged health effects of wireless phones or radio frequency transmitters. We may incur significant expenses in defending these lawsuits. In addition, we may be required to pay significant awards or settlements.”

Another area of potential liability is municipalities/school districts who have been notified regarding potential wireless harms and failed to do further inquiry and/or take preventative/protective actions/measures to prevent them. Additionally, municipalities/schools who have been notified of these potential wireless harms, but failed to make appropriate accommodations for residents/ students with EHS and other medical conditions relating to RF, may be found legally liable for found harms and/or failure to accommodate.

Financial Risks:

Due to current and future anticipated legal challenges against the FCC’s allowable RF limits/safety standards, and the IARC’s formal review of the RF carcinogen classification, municipalities/schools making upgrades/investments into their wireless systems and infrastructures run the risk of having these standards/classifications changed. In the likely event of changing standards, municipalities/schools could potentially be found to be out of compliance with new safety standards and classifications which would legally require them to change/update existing wireless resources and infrastructures. Such changes to technological infrastructures and platforms would be extremely cost intensive/prohibitive for municipalities and school districts to incur.

Safer Solutions:

Many of the leading RF scientists and Safe Technology experts have publicly stated that there are safer ways for schools and municipalities to meet current technological needs and goals, and these experts are also providing schools and municipalities with information and direction on current best tech practice for safety.

5G/Wireless RF And Impacts To The Environment

Initially it was believed that our transition to higher tech would play a significant role in reducing our carbon footprint, benefiting our environment and preserving our vital resources. Research on the effects and impacts of technology has determined that technology has far more environmental impact than originally anticipated and a much larger carbon footprint than even our current practices. RF has effects on all biological life and a significant body of research is demonstrating negative effects and outcomes on the health of behavior of bees, birds, toads, animal and plant life.
